As in that famous Christmas song, I have to say, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” If it’s October, it’s the annual IAPA Education Conference – several favorite speakers returning and new speakers joining!

Whether this will be your first, or you have attended every one of the forty-three previous IAPA conferences, I can guarantee - as always - this will be one of the most wonderful, fun, and educational experiences you will have. This conference gives everyone the opportunity to choose what sessions they want to take to enhance their skills. It gives every attendee options to learn, have fun, and network with others. Not only will you learn ways to enhance your time, career, and improve your programs for the people you work for, you are able to take a much needed break from the daily stresses of healthcare and caregiving responsibilities.

Everyone knows how important it is for people in the field of caregiving to take time to recharge and take care of themselves. This is one of the best places to do that while learning, taking the time for self-care, and enjoying time, with others who understand the world you work in every day.

As always I look forward to connecting with old friends and making new ones, learning from so many wonderful experts, and just kicking back from the normal every day craziness of life.

Please remember the best caregivers are the ones who take time to care for themselves! When you leave this conference that is totally focused on what you do everyday for people and experience this place that’s designed to take care of you, October will also become your “MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! “ I can’t wait to see you there!

Sincerely, Deb Greiner, President
